About The Gala

What is the gala for?

The gala, An Evening of Hope, is our main fundraising event for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk. All proceeds go directly to the cause.

What is the food at the gala?

We are serving a delicious menu that includes a NY steak with roasted garlic and herb compound butter, green beans, loaded mashed potatoes and a spring mix salad.

What is the deadline to get a ticket that includes a food plate?

The deadline to receive a food plate is October 2nd at 12 Noon.

After that date, you can still get a ticket at the door, but we can’t guarantee a meal because of the headcount.

Are there substitutions?

We are unable to provide substitutions for the main dish, but we can serve a no-meat option with all the sides.

Is there a dress code?

No, there isn’t a strict dress code. We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready for a night out. Going out or smart-casual attire is perfect.

What if I can’t attend?

You can still help!

You can make a small donation, help us by sharing our mission on social media, or donate items for our silent auction. We are getting items from businesses and individuals, like coupons for lashes or nails.

What is the last day to donate online?

The last day to donate to the gala online is October 2nd.

Can I still donate after Oct 2nd?

Yes.

After October 2nd, donations can be made directly to Teresa. These donations will not have an online receipt. The final day to donate in person is November 13th, the day before the walk begins.

What is the walk and when is it?

The walk is a 60-mile journey over three days to raise funds for breast cancer research. The Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk is from November 14-16, 2025, in San Diego.

What is the donation goal?

Our team goal is $6,900. Each of us needs to raise $2,300. So far, my mom, Teresa, has raised $1,636, which is almost a third of our way there!

Can my business buy a table for the gala?

Yes, absolutely!

Buying a table is the best way to support our cause. A table costs $400 and comes with special recognition.

What else does sponsoring do?

As a sponsor, your business helps a local team get to San Diego.

We’ll add your logo on our Team Lilies of Hope shirts to show everyone along our 60-mile route the local businesses that stand with us in the fight against breast cancer.
